I want this site to be free forever. No paywalls. No bullshit. Just toasty pixels for as long as I can afford them.

Why? Because I’m writing the site that I needed a decade ago… precisely when I was a year’s salary in debt. (Depression can do that pretty quickly.)

Good websites cost a lot to run. They’re expensive in opportunity costs and they’re expensive in real costs too (e.g. I pay per email sent). So if you enjoy your time here, I hope you’ll become a member for a few pennies a day.
